Cancun Hotels
This is what I considered an optimized page for Cancun Hotels. You will notice that this page has 100% keyword relevancy including the title tag, h1 tag, in-bound links and the page name. Obviously, these are not the only factors for ranking a website page high in the SERP's but these are what I consider the top priorities.
Cancun Hotels as a key phrase can also be thought of as a finite number of factors. When all the factors work together Cancun Hotels will rank higher. However this also holds true if 2 out of the 3 factors are optimized but one of those factors has to out-perform the loss of the 3rd factor. This is what I call the wikipedia factor. Wikipedia just from sheer volume of internal linking will out rank other well optimized website's.
Hotels as a key phrase would be nearly impossible for any new website to out rank the existing website's, same thing with Cancun. The search industry and the searcher as a whole have morphed over the years. People are increasing the number of words in searches and the search engines are getting smarter and more complex all the time. What used to work years ago to rank high in the search engines may no longer hold true, it used to be that you could stuff your tags with the same phrase multiple times and rank for that phrase, then there was using the same color font and background color. As the search engines evolve so to does the SEO person to continue to keep their ranking.
Image search is another factor when increasing your SERP listings, this is one of the easier listings to increase and the most overlooked. You will notice that the picture of Cancun has a relevant file name and matching alt tags
Video search, youtube is the second largest search engine in the world when is comes to number of monthly searches however this is another venue most SEO people ignore or put off indefinitely.
Alright well that is enough about Cancun and with fall turning into winter, a trip to Cancun does sound nice.
